Anambra Police Command Hosts IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu

On June 26, 2023, the Anambra Police Command received Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, who was accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the South East, Kenechukwu Onwuemeli. The operational tour aimed to strengthen the security architecture, enhance operational efficiency, and foster greater collaboration among security stakeholders in the region.

During the engagement, the Inspector General emphasized the need for developing intelligence-driven interventions tailored to the unique security challenges faced in Anambra and the wider South East. He also highlighted the future introduction of artificial intelligence in police investigations.

Anambra State Police Command's Commissioner, Ikioy Orutugu, welcomed the visit and expressed appreciation, reaffirming the command's commitment to the vision of the Inspector General to deepen community-oriented policing and strengthen security across the state. The tour provided a strategic avenue for discussing relevant security management and crime prevention strategies.
