APC Commends Police for Foiling Assassination Attempt

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) praised the Osun State Police Command for successfully thwarting an assassination attempt on Wole Ok, the Director General of the APC governorship campaign council. This incident occurred in Ipete Ijesa, where police apprehended three suspects: Olalekan Oriyomi, Ayotunde Ikupolati, and Femi Fakinley.

The police recovered a Beretta pistol loaded with four rounds of live ammunition from the suspects. In a statement signed by Kola Olabisi, the Director of Media and Publicity for the APC, the party expressed confidence in the police's thorough investigation and called for the complete eradication of criminal elements in the state.

The APC also condemned the state governor, Ademola Adeleke, and the state chairman, Victor Akande, for the prevailing insecurity, asserting that the party remains committed to a peaceful electoral process ahead of the upcoming governorship elections scheduled for August 15, 2026.
