Adeleke's Council Demands Arrest in APC Assassination Attempt

The campaign council for Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called for the arrest of Olamilekan Oriyomi, who was allegedly involved in a failed assassination attempt on Mr. Wole Ok, the director of the APC campaign council.

The council, led by chairman Bamidel Salam, challenged the state police, specifically Ibrahim Gotan, to release unedited video footage related to the incident. They expressed concerns over inconsistencies in the police's narrative and demanded an independent investigation led by Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu.

The Osun State Police Command, represented by spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi, has not responded to the council's demands. The incident involved the recovery of a loaded Beretta pistol and live ammunition from Oriyomi and two other suspects.

The campaign council warned that the police's lack of transparency could lead to public distrust.
