FG Directs Abuja Civil Servants to Work from Home for APC

The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a directive for civil servants working within the Federal Secretariat in Abuja to work from home on March 27 and 28, 2026, coinciding with the APC national convention. This decision was communicated through a circular issued by Abdul S.

U. Garba, the Permanent Secretary of the Service Welfare Office, on behalf of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

The circular states that access roads leading to the Federal Secretariat complex, specifically phases II and III, will be closed during this period to accommodate the convention at Eagle Square. The government has instructed heads of ministries, departments, and agencies to ensure strict compliance with this directive, emphasizing the importance of the event as a major political gathering ahead of the 2027 general elections.
