APC Disqualifies Tumsah from Yobe Governorship Primary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Tumsah from participating in the Yobe State governorship primary. The decision was communicated through a statement made available to journalists in Damaturu, the state capital, on Thursday.

The APC screening committee cited issues related to Tumsah's nomination, primarily concerning the involvement of non-financial members within the party. Tumsah expressed his disappointment but accepted the decision in good faith, stating that he consulted with his family and party stakeholders before making this choice.

He emphasized his commitment to promoting justice and democratic principles throughout his campaign and urged party members to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid. Tumsah also mentioned that the KMT movement would continue its support for interventions across communities in the state.
