APC Governors Reject Alliances Undermining Tinubu's Re-election

The Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), the collective of governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC), announced its refusal to engage in any political alliances that could jeopardize the re-election of President Bola Tinubu or weaken the party. This declaration was made by the Forum's Chairman, Senator Hope Uzodimma, during a meeting at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

The governors expressed concern over internal conflicts, particularly involving Minister of Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, who is backing candidates from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against APC members. Uzodimma stated that the Forum's primary focus is to support APC candidates exclusively, ensuring no support for external interests.

The governors committed to leading the campaign for Tinubu's re-election in their states, emphasizing grassroots mobilization and internal party unity. They aim to align campaign structures with the strategic objectives of the APC and the expectations of the President.
