Kalu: APC Not Owned by Tinubu or Any Individual

On Wednesday, Deputy Speaker Kalu declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not owned by any individual, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Speaking in Umuahia during an address to party stakeholders, Kalu urged APC members to embrace unity and cohesion in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

He stressed that the party belongs to its members and highlighted the ongoing congress designed to foster inclusivity and collective ownership. Kalu noted that President Tinubu shares a vision of collective leadership and that the party's primary focus is to eliminate internal divisions and build a united front.

He explained that the earlier ward congress was canceled due to multiple forms of conflict within the state, contrary to the directives of the party's national leadership. Kalu reaffirmed the party's commitment to unity and adequate preparation for the upcoming elections, with the rescheduled ward and local government congress set for February 25-26.
