APC Secretary Congratulates Adeleke on Re-Election Victory

On Sunday, Senator Surajudeen Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, visited Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osogbo to congratulate him on his recent re-election victory. Basiru expressed gratitude for Adeleke's attendance at the final rites of his late mother and acknowledged that he delayed the visit due to the political rivalry during the governorship election, where he campaigned against Adeleke, who ran on the Accord Party platform.

Basiru stated, “I campaigned vigorously against you at that election. Fortunately, God gives power.” He congratulated Adeleke, admitting he preferred Bola Oyebamiji, the APC candidate, to win.

Furthermore, Basiru thanked Adeleke for endorsing President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, noting that some expected Adeleke to withdraw his support after winning but he remained steadfast.
