APC's Basiru Congratulates Adeleke, Advocates Unity

On Sunday, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), visited the Osun State Government House to congratulate Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the August 15 governorship election. Accompanied by APC chieftains, including former Deputy Speaker Akintunde Adegboye and Comrade Waheed Adediran, Basiru expressed gratitude for Adeleke's personal gesture during his mother's funeral.

He acknowledged Adeleke's victory over APC's candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, and thanked the governor for endorsing President Bola Tinubu for the upcoming presidential election. Basiru highlighted the potential for political coalitions across party lines and noted that the APC secured 46% of the vote in the recent Osun contest, suggesting a joint effort could yield 1.5 million votes for Tinubu in the January 16 poll.

He also addressed post-election security, urging peaceful resolution of leadership disputes within the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and called for unity among APC members and the people of Osun.
