APC Defends Tinubu's Reforms Against Obi's Criticism

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi's criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms. APC insists that Nigeria requires policy continuity rather than a complete economic reset.

Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu, APC National Vice Chairman (South East), stated that the reforms initiated by the Tinubu administration are intended to place the economy on a sustainable growth path. Obi, in a recent interview on Channels Television, argued that Nigeria is moving in the wrong direction under Tinubu, calling for a new leadership approach to address economic challenges.

Arodiogbu defended the Tinubu administration's reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and exchange rate reforms, asserting that these measures, while initially difficult, are beginning to yield positive outcomes. He criticized Obi for suggesting a fresh policy direction, labeling it counterproductive, and emphasized the need for leaders committed to sustaining ongoing reforms for economic stability.

Arodiogbu urged Nigerians to evaluate political leaders based on their public office records and achievements.
