APC Defends Tinubu Against 'Tired' Claims by Obi

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has defended President Bola Tinubu against accusations from Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the NDC, who claimed that Tinubu is “tired.” APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda stated on Channels Television’s Politics Today that Tinubu works tirelessly from morning till night, countering Obi's suggestion that the President should step aside before the 2027 presidential election. Yilwatda questioned the basis of Obi's claims, asserting that Tinubu's extensive daily work schedule and the administration's ongoing infrastructure projects demonstrate his commitment to the country.

He cited the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the development of new seaports in Calabar, Akwa Ibom, Port Harcourt, Ondo, and Lagos as significant achievements of the Tinubu administration. Yilwatda also mentioned the modernization of Nigeria’s aviation sector, highlighting airport upgrade projects as evidence of the government's focus on critical infrastructure development.
