APC Wins All 24 Chairmanship Seats in Gombe Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) achieved a significant victory by winning all 24 chairmanship seats in the local government elections held in Gombe State. Abdullahi Garba, the chairman of the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC), described the conduct of these elections as a major milestone in the state's electoral process.

The elections covered 11 local government areas and resulted in the declaration of APC as the winner of all local government councilorship chairman seats. Garba noted that the elections were made possible through the approval of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who facilitated the creation of 13 local council development areas to bring governance closer to the people.

The elections also saw participation from several political parties, with APC contesting all 24 local government areas. Garba expressed gratitude to political parties, civil society organizations, security agencies, and media stakeholders for their contributions to a peaceful electoral process.
