APC Woman Leader's Event Disrupted by PDP Supporters

The empowerment program organized by Alhaja Tawakalitu Agaka, the Kwara Central APC Woman Leader, was disrupted by supporters of former Senate President Bukola Saraki and PDP governorship candidate Engineer Kale Kawu on Saturday at Hajia Tawa’s family residence. The program aimed to support women, youths, and widows, providing cash assistance to 200 beneficiaries.

Ibraheem Abdullateef, Senior Special Assistant on Communications to Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, accused Saraki and Kawu's supporters of reintroducing political thuggery into Kwara State. He stated that the disruption was an attack orchestrated by these supporters, who were unhappy with the program's location, which they viewed as Kawu's political base.

Security personnel intervened to prevent escalation. Abdullateef condemned the actions as anti-democratic and urged residents to reject the PDP in future elections, asserting that such thuggery had been eradicated under the current administration.
