APC Youth Wing Launches N17.5m Grant for Energy Professionals

The APC Youth Wing, led by Dayo Israel, announced a N17.5 million grant for young professionals in Nigeria's energy sector during an opening ceremony in Abuja on Monday. This initiative is part of the Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship, which aims to support the development of young professionals in the renewable energy sector.

Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, a fellow and governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu, emphasized the importance of addressing Nigeria's energy challenges, which significantly impact the economy.

Israel stated that the fellowship would enable young Nigerians to engage with policymakers and contribute to solutions for energy issues. He acknowledged that poor energy generation and distribution are major challenges facing the sector.

The program aims to foster partnerships with government agencies to enhance energy enterprise ideas and support President Bola Tinubu's renewable energy agenda, which is crucial for Nigeria's socio-economic transformation.
