APC Youth Wing Advocates for Greater Youth Inclusion

The National Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reaffirmed its commitment to increasing opportunities for young Nigerians in governance and economic development, in a statement issued for the 2026 International Youth Day, themed “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.” APC National Youth Leader Dayo Israel stated that young Nigerians should be seen as partners in shaping the country's future, not just beneficiaries of government programs. He cited data from the Independent National Electoral Commission indicating that 2,836,995 Nigerians aged 18 to 34, representing 68.83% of completed registrations, had registered to vote as of April 28, 2026.

Israel highlighted initiatives under his leadership, including the Renewed Hope Conversations series and partnerships with organizations to enhance youth expertise in sectors like energy and fiscal policy. He mentioned specific programs such as the Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship and the Zacch Adedeji Taxation and Fiscal Policy Fellowship, aimed at equipping young Nigerians for meaningful participation in national development.
