APM Commends Makinde for Safe Release of Kidnapped Victims

The All Peoples Movement (APM) expressed relief over the safe return of victims kidnapped in Orir Local Government Area, Oyo State, including schoolchildren and a teacher, who were abducted on May 15, 2026. In a statement from the party's national public secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, the APM commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his exemplary leadership and the efforts of security agencies, including the military, police, and local intelligence units, in ensuring the victims' safe release.

The statement confirmed that eight suspects were arrested during operations to neutralize the kidnappers. The APM emphasized the importance of safety in educational institutions and urged the government to implement robust security measures, particularly in vulnerable communities.
