APM Re-elects Dantalle, Inaugurates New Leadership in Bauchi

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) held its National Convention in Bauchi on Thursday, where Yusuf Mamman Dantalle was re-elected as National Chairman for a second term. The convention also resulted in the election of 26 national officers and the approval of the party’s amended constitution.

During the event, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed was inaugurated as the National Leader of the party. Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor and APM presidential candidate, called for unity among opposition parties in preparation for the 2027 general election.

He emphasized that the opposition must present a credible alternative to the current administration, focusing on measurable outcomes rather than mere campaign slogans. Makinde highlighted the importance of governance being judged by tangible improvements in citizens' lives, including access to jobs, education, healthcare, and food security.

He also advocated for greater devolution of powers to enhance Nigeria's potential.
