Lawal Daura Named APM Vice-Presidential Candidate

Lawal Daura has emerged as the vice-presidential candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) after Bala Adamu Ibrahim resigned from the ticket for personal reasons. Ibrahim communicated his decision through a letter dated August 5, titled “Voluntary withdrawal from participation in the 2027 general election under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).” In his letter, he stated that his withdrawal was made freely and without coercion, and he requested the party to remove his name from its records as a candidate.

Following Ibrahim's resignation, Governor Makinde announced Daura as the new running mate during the party’s Elective National Convention held last Thursday in Bauchi. Ibrahim expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership and wished the APM success in the upcoming elections.
