APM Terminals Apapa Launches Major Port Clean-up Initiative

APM Terminals Apapa, Nigeria’s largest container terminal, conducted a significant clean-up exercise at the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa, on Friday, as part of its 2026 Go Green Week activities. This initiative reflects the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible port operations.

Employees mobilized to clean major access roads within the port area, aiming to reduce waste and promote environmental stewardship. Managing Director Kamal Alhraishat described Go Green Week as a vital platform for raising environmental awareness and encouraging collective action within the port community.

He stated that the initiative translates environmental commitments into meaningful actions. Felix Ugwuagbo, the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, emphasized that sustainability is integral to the company's operations.

Umar Ibrahim, the Assistant Manager of NPA Environment at Lagos Port Complex Apapa, praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of effective waste management for public health and efficient port operations.
