Akpoti-Uduaghan Calls for PDP Unity After Court Ruling

Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, called for unity within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) following a recent Appeal Court ruling. In a statement released on Tuesday, she described the ruling as an opportunity for the party to move beyond internal disputes and focus on rebuilding its structure in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

Akpoti-Uduaghan warned that prolonged legal battles and internal conflicts could weaken the party's ability to serve as a strong political platform for its members. She stressed the importance of organizing the PDP in an inclusive and transparent manner, in compliance with guidelines from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

This process, she noted, would help restore confidence among party members and strengthen the party's democratic credentials.
