Nigerian Navy Opens Applications for Basic Training School

The Nigerian Navy has announced that applications for Batch 39 of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School will open on October 2, 2026, and close on October 31, 2026. The entire application process will be conducted online.

Interested candidates must be Nigerian citizens by birth, possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN), and meet educational, age, physical, and medical standards. Male applicants must be at least 1.69 meters tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.65 meters tall.

Candidates applying based on O'Level results must be aged between 18 and 22 as of December 31, 2026, and must have at least five credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in no more than two sittings. The Navy has emphasized that the application process is free of charge and cautioned against unauthorized recruitment notices circulating on social media.

Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho, the Director of Naval Information, confirmed the official recruitment details and urged prospective applicants to consult the Navy's recruitment portal for further information.
