Archbishop Okeke Celebrates Easter with Onitsha Inmates

On Easter Sunday, Rev. Valerian Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha, celebrated the holiday with inmates at the Onitsha Correctional Centre in Anambra State.

During his homily, he emphasized the significance of faith and prayer in human life, urging inmates to express gratitude to God. He defined faith as a response to God's revelation and encouraged the inmates to not feel isolated but to seek God's face for freedom and redemption.

Citing 2 Corinthians 5:6, he reminded them that faith is essential for navigating life's challenges, especially in Nigeria's current socio-economic climate. Okeke advised inmates to utilize their time for skill acquisition to benefit themselves and society upon their release.

He also highlighted the importance of showing love to everyone, including enemies, as a reflection of God's boundless love. Rev.

Fr. Bartholomew Okpalaugo commended the Archbishop for his care towards the inmates, while Ik Anslem, a representative of the Anambra State Correctional Centre, expressed gratitude for the Archbishop's continued support.
