Easter Message: Love Triumphs Over Hate, Says Bishop

On April 5, during an Easter service at the Archbishop Vine Memorial Church in Ikeja, Rt. Rev. James Odedeji delivered a thought-provoking message highlighting the significance of Jesus Christ's resurrection.

He stated that the resurrection proves love is stronger than hate and serves as God's answer to humanity's greatest enemies: sin and death. Bishop Odedeji emphasized that Jesus' death and resurrection transform human existence, providing eternal victory over despair and guilt.

He referenced the empty tomb as a symbol of victory over sin and demonic forces, asserting that believers already possess the power to resist evil. He urged Christians to live with hope, describing the resurrection as the ultimate antidote to despair.

The service was attended by hundreds, including notable figures such as registrar Princ Bambo Adesanya and Bishop Odedeji's wife, Dr. Lydia Odedeji. He also addressed skeptics by citing historical accounts of the resurrection, reinforcing the importance of faith in the risen Christ.
