SDP Chairman Gombe Receives Arewa Students Forum Honor

On Monday, Prof. Sadiq Umar Abubakar Gombe, the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), received the Grand Commander of the Arewa Students Forum (GCASF) honor and was inducted as a patron of the organization.

During the award ceremony, Gombe emphasized the importance of character, integrity, and competence over ethnic, religious, and political affiliations in leadership selection. He stated that the future of Nigeria relies on responsible leadership and active youth participation in democracy.

Gombe described the recognition as a collective honor for the SDP's National Executive Committee, reflecting their commitment to national development. He praised the Arewa Students Forum for fostering peace and leadership among young Nigerians.

Gombe also shared insights from his time as a student union leader at Ahmadu Bello University, advocating for student welfare and national engagement. Comrade Abubakar Abdullahi, the National President of the Arewa Students Forum, noted that Gombe was honored based on his contributions to education and community development, while Senator Ugochukwu Uba praised his integrity and public service.
