Bandits Kill Three CPG Members in Zamfara Attack

On a recent afternoon at 4:00 PM, armed bandits attacked members of the Civilian Protection Group (CPG) in the Magamin Diddi District of Maradun Local Government Area, Zamfara State. The assault resulted in the deaths of three CPG members, identified as Nasiru Gaji, Jamilu Ibrahim, and Bashar Dan Inna.

The bandits engaged the CPG members in sporadic gunfire, leading to the seizure of firearms. Following the attack, the deceased were transported to a general hospital in Maradun for postmortem examinations before being released to their families for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

In response to the violence, security operations have been heightened across the Maradun Local Government Area to prevent further attacks and to apprehend the fleeing suspects. Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
