Nigerian Army Dismantles Boko Haram Camp in Adamawa

In the early hours of Wednesday, the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser Tactical Team, executed an operation in the Kopre Mountain area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State, targeting a Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist camp. The operation was initiated based on credible intelligence regarding terrorist activities in the region.

Troops from Operation Hadin Kai engaged the terrorists in two separate encounters, resulting in the neutralization of more than 21 terrorists, while others managed to escape with gunshot wounds. The military reported the destruction of the terrorists' logistics infrastructure and the recovery of several AK-47 rifles, magazines, and a significant quantity of 7.62mm ammunition.

Additionally, motorcycles, bicycles, and jerrycans containing Premium Motor Spirit were destroyed. Captain Mohammed Goni, the Acting Military Information Officer of the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to rescue victims abducted from the Mussa community and Lassa area, emphasizing the commitment to aggressive, intelligence-driven operations.
