Nigerian Army Dismantles Boko Haram Camp in Adamawa

Nigerian Army troops successfully dismantled a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist hideout in the Kopre Mountain area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State, during an operation on Wednesday. This operation was conducted in collaboration with the Tactical Team of the Office of the National Security Adviser, following intelligence reports regarding terrorist activities in the region.

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai engaged the terrorists twice, resulting in the deaths of more than 21 insurgents, while others escaped with injuries. The military also destroyed the terrorists' logistics facilities, recovering several AK-47 rifles, magazines, and a large quantity of 7.62mm ammunition.

Additional items destroyed included motorcycles, bicycles, and jerrycans filled with Premium Motor Spirit. Captain Mohammed Goni, the Acting Military Information Officer of the Headquarters Joint Task Force North-East, stated that the operation aimed to locate and rescue abducted individuals from Mussa and the Lassa axis.

The military commended the personnel for their coordination and performance during the operation, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to combat terrorist activities in the North-East.
