Nigerian Army Redeploys Major General Abubakar, 14 Generals

The Nigerian Army has executed a strategic redeployment involving Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, the Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, along with 14 other generals. This move, approved by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, aims to enhance operational effectiveness and align the command structure with the evolving security environment in Nigeria.

Colonel Appolonia Anele, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, stated that the redeployment focuses on critical operational theatres and strategic appointments. Major General IA Ajose has been appointed as the new Theatre Commander for Operation Hadin Kai, moving from the Army Headquarters.

Other notable redeployments include Major General AE Abubakar to the Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre as Dean of the Faculty of Operational Research, and Brigadier General AA Bello to the Department of Defence Operations. The newly appointed officers have been charged with justifying the confidence placed in them.
