Army Resource Centre Studies Tantita's Pipeline Security Model

The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) undertook a strategic study tour of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) in Effurun, Uvwie, Delta State, as part of efforts to enhance national security policies for protecting Nigeria's oil and gas infrastructure. The visit, which occurred over the weekend, was part of a strategic management policy study course themed "Security of Oil and Gas Facilities in the Niger Delta: Panacea for National Development." The delegation, led by Major General J.G.K.

Myam (rtd), included faculty members and command officers from the 3 Battalion in Effurun. Tantita's management, including Captain Warredi Enisuoh and Kestin Pondi, highlighted their people-centered security model, emphasizing community engagement and local employment to protect pipelines.

Tantita employs advanced technology, including the largest drone fleet in West Africa, for aerial surveillance. Despite these efforts, oil pollution remains a significant challenge in the Niger Delta, necessitating urgent environmental remediation.
