Uche Nnaji Dismisses Academic Records Allegations

Uche Nnaji, the former Minister of Science and Technology and governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Enugu State, addressed recent media reports concerning legal proceedings related to his academic records. Nnaji clarified that the issue is currently before the court and has not been decided in public commentary.

He stated that the ongoing case, identified as suit no. FHC/ABJ/CS/1909/2025, is a civil matter initiated in the Federal High Court in Abuja to seek clarification and obtain an official university transcript.

Nnaji emphasized that he has neither been charged with an offense nor appeared in court as an accused person, with the matter adjourned to October 20, 2026. He pointed out that the proceedings do not constitute a criminal trial and do not determine guilt.

Nnaji denied allegations of evading law enforcement and asserted his commitment to clearing his name through legal means, urging the public and media to distinguish between allegations and proven facts.
