Aso Villa in Abuja witnessed tight security measures on Monday as security agencies closed off major routes to the Presidential Villa due to planned protests demanding the release of detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Activists like Omoyele Sowore also joined in, causing traffic disruptions across the city.

The Department of State Services (DSS) intensified stop-and-search operations, leading to frustration among staff members and heavy traffic in areas like Keffi and Abuja Expressway. The security lockdown also affected thousands of civil servants, traders, and commuters, causing gridlocks in various locations.
