ATBUTH Resident Doctors Threaten Strike Over Unpaid Allowances, Demand Immediate Payment

The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi, Nigeria, has threatened to go on strike over unpaid allowances. The doctors have given the hospital management an ultimatum to settle the outstanding allowances.

Despite assurances, the hospital has failed to release the remaining two tranches of the doctors' allowances. The ARD expressed dissatisfaction with the delay, noting that many resident doctors across the country are yet to receive their allowances.

The congress demanded the immediate payment of the outstanding allowances to avoid the strike. The doctors also commended the efforts of the ARD executive in securing payments for members.
