Atiba University to Refund Law Students After Ban

Atiba University in Oyo State will refund tuition fees to Law students who choose to withdraw following a 10-year moratorium imposed on its Law programme by the Council of Legal Education due to inadequate facilities and regulatory violations. The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) South-West Zone and the National Association of University Students (NAUS) announced this decision after a meeting with the university management.

Students seeking refunds will receive their payments within two weeks. Additionally, two universities have agreed to accept affected students for transfers into 100 and 200 levels, while another institution will accommodate students across all levels.

The transfer process is expected to begin soon, with students resuming at their new institutions within two months. For those wishing to continue their legal education, arrangements have been made for a pathway to the Nigerian Law School after completing their National Youth Service Corps programme.

Students needing academic transcripts or experiencing issues with their admission letters have been advised to submit their requests promptly.
