NANS Issues Ultimatum to Atiba University Over Law Crisis

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Atiba University in Oyo State, demanding the resolution of regulatory challenges affecting its Law programme. These issues have prevented several students and graduates, some enrolled since 2020, from proceeding to the Nigerian Law School despite fulfilling academic requirements and paying tuition fees.

NANS, led by President Dist. Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, condemned the situation as unacceptable, criticizing the university for admitting new students and collecting fees for the unaccredited programme.

NANS outlined five directives for the university to fulfill within the deadline, including providing a pathway for eligible graduates to enter the Nigerian Law School and disclosing communications with the Council of Legal Education. NANS warned of decisive action if the university fails to comply, stating that it would relocate its National Secretariat to the campus until demands are met.
