Atiku Claims Tinubu is 90, Plans Court Evidence

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), claimed in a BBC interview that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is 90 years old and stated he has evidence to support this assertion, which he plans to present in court. Atiku defended his decision to contest the presidency in 2027, arguing that his age and health should not hinder his public service.

He reflected on his political career, mentioning his repeated attempts to run for governor, which were thwarted by military authorities. Atiku emphasized that he has faced significant challenges throughout his political journey but has never found it easy.

He also addressed Nigeria's worsening insecurity, attributing it to government irresponsibility and inadequate attention to defense and security needs. He compared Nigeria's police force to Egypt's, noting that Egypt has a much larger police presence relative to its population.

Atiku expressed confidence that Nigeria's security challenges could be controlled within a year with proper measures.
