APC's Morka Labels Atiku as Nigeria's Political Scooby-Doo

Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dismissed Atiku Abubakar's fuel subsidy proposal during an interview on TVC News’ Beyond the Headlines with Nifemi Oguntoye on Wednesday. Morka characterized Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as “Nigeria’s political Scooby-Doo,” suggesting that his proposals are unrealistic.

He described the opposition's promise of cheaper fuel as a “phantom” promise and accused Abubakar of changing his stance on fuel subsidy for political gain. Morka contrasted this with the tangible results of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, which he claimed have strengthened Nigeria’s macroeconomic position, citing increased foreign reserves, stronger oil production, economic growth, and higher government revenues.

He warned that disrupting these reforms could lead Nigeria back to financially unsustainable conditions. Morka expressed confidence that Nigerians would reject the opposition's proposals in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
