Atiku Abubakar Challenges Tinubu to Address Failures

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the failures of his administration rather than engage in political grandstanding. Speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku described Tinubu's statement about "wrestling his opponents" as a desperate attempt to divert attention from his government's poor performance.

He criticized Tinubu's response to a call from the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria for credible elections, labeling it as indicative of a troubling aloofness. Atiku argued that the President should focus on critical issues such as the cost-of-living crisis, insecurity, and unemployment, rather than political theatrics.

He stated that the greatest opponent facing Tinubu is not the ADC or any opposition party, but the failures of his own government, which have led to widespread suffering among Nigerians.
