Atiku's ADC Campaign Plans Full National Tour Ahead of 2027 Election

Atiku Abubakar's presidential campaign will reach every corner of Nigeria's 36 states during the 2027 general election, according to the African Democratic Congress. During a Sunday television interview, Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, assured viewers that every state would feature in the former Vice-President's electoral push.

Shaibu countered claims that campaign efforts might pivot toward northern Nigeria, where Atiku enjoys significant political backing. A detailed schedule for activities throughout the federation would be released shortly, he noted.

Beyond the conventional rally format, the party plans to hold town hall meetings and foster direct community connections with voters, focusing particularly on the economic hardships affecting everyday Nigerians. This strategy differs notably from choices made by the ruling All Progressives Congress and President Bola Tinubu.

Reports indicate that Tinubu will restrict his APC campaign participation to roughly 12 states, prioritizing his role as incumbent president alongside political engagement. The ADC's commitment demonstrates optimism about Atiku's chances across Nigeria's varied political terrain.

Campaign representatives have voiced assurance regarding his capacity to prevail nationwide. While precise dates for state visits remain unannounced, officials have pledged that the full timetable will be available within weeks.
