Aliyu Bin Abba Becomes ADP Presidential Candidate for 2027

Aliyu Bin Abba, a former political aide to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has been announced as the presidential candidate for the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for the 2027 general elections. His emergence was confirmed during the ADP national convention held in Abuja.

Abba, who is also the founder of the National Youth Alliance, emphasized that his candidacy is independent and distinct from Atiku Abubakar's ambitions with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He aims to champion the cause of the younger generation, seeking to provide fresh leadership amid Nigeria's economic hardships and insecurity.

The convention, which took place early on a Saturday, was marked by celebrations among party delegates. Abba's campaign will focus on building a united Nigeria and empowering the youth, positioning the ADP as a credible alternative in the political landscape.

The party's chairman, Yabagi Yusuf Sani, expressed commitment to presenting the ADP as a viable option for Nigerians seeking change.
