Attah Advocates for Measured Economic Reforms in Nigeria

During the 20th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association's Section on Business Law held in Abuja, Toni Attah, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company, called for a decisive shift in policy to measure the outcomes of Nigeria's economic reforms. He stressed that reliable energy supply is the clearest indicator of real economic transformation.

Attah noted that the ongoing macroeconomic reforms should translate into tangible results, particularly in improving industrial performance, with a specific focus on the affordability of power supply, which he identified as the biggest constraint in Nigeria's real sector today. He pointed out the persistent reliance on expensive self-generation as a key driver of high operational costs.

Within this context, Attah described Renaissance Africa Energy Company's strategic response to Nigeria's economic inflection point, highlighting the company's vision to enable energy security and advance African-led value creation. He also mentioned that Renaissance achieved a 40 percent growth in upstream production within 100 days of transitioning from Shell Petroleum Development Company.
