Badejo-Okusanya Elected President of Nigerian Bar Association

Badejo-Okusanya was elected as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in an election held over 24 hours, concluding on a Sunday. She emerged victorious with 12,317 votes, while her rivals, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe and Olumuyiwa Akinboro, received 7,934 votes (30.39%) and 5,855 votes (22.43%), respectively.

Following her election, Badejo-Okusanya described her victory as a collective achievement and expressed deep humility and gratitude to NBA members for their support. She pledged to work for the benefit of all members and to improve the welfare and professional development of lawyers across Nigeria.

Badejo-Okusanya holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Lagos and has built a distinguished career in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She has served in various leadership roles within the NBA and has contributed to justice sector reforms in Lagos State.
