Kebbi High Court Judge Abducted by Bandits at Home

Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza, a judge of the Kebbi State High Court, was abducted by suspected bandits in a midnight attack at his residence along Zogirma Road in Bunza Local Government Area. The incident occurred shortly after he returned from a trip to Sokoto State on Sunday.

The Kebbi State Police Command confirmed the abduction, stating that tactical and intelligence teams have been deployed to ensure the judge's safe rescue. According to reports, the attackers stormed the judge's residence around midnight, overpowering the occupants and taking him to an unknown location.

Although the gunmen fired sporadically, no injuries were reported among the judge's family. The police, led by Commissioner CP Umar Muhammad Hadejia, have initiated coordinated operations in identified locations, including forest areas believed to be hideouts for the kidnappers.

The abduction has raised significant concern within the Kebbi State judiciary, with officials expressing deep disturbance over the incident.
