Katsina Governor Dikko Radda Alarms Over Security Moles

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda expressed serious concerns regarding the presence of moles within security agencies, which he claims allow bandits to receive updates on security operations within minutes. During an interview with Channel Television, Radda stated that these moles complicate efforts to combat banditry, despite ongoing military operations aimed at restoring peace.

He identified a notorious bandit leader named Muhammad, who is well-known in the affected communities of Musawa and Matazu local government areas. Radda disclosed that intelligence leaks have repeatedly frustrated security operations, as bandits are able to monitor troop movements and evade arrest.

He accused armed groups of attempting to manipulate public opinion against the government, including sponsoring protests to pressure the government to reduce military offensives. Radda noted that the security situation in the state has improved, with plans to deploy drone technology to enhance surveillance and support security operations in vulnerable communities.
