Ex-Deputy Governor Sani Aims to Unseat Kano Governor Yusuf

Mainasara Abubakar Sani, the former Deputy Governor of Kano State, has declared his intention to unseat the current Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, in the elections scheduled for May 29 next year. Sani emphasized that the "battle line is drawn" as he criticized Yusuf's administration for perceived failures.

He pledged to run a government that is friendly to the people and to address the issues faced by Kano residents. The announcement came during a party primary committee meeting at the national headquarters of the Progressive Congress (APC), where Sani commended party stakeholders for their cooperation in the electoral process.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a notable party leader, also praised the orderly conduct of the primary elections and expressed confidence in the party's ability to emerge victorious in the general elections.
