Bauchi State Commits to Youth Development Through Data

Bauchi State has reiterated its commitment to the collection of accurate data to facilitate the development of young people. During a keynote address commemorating World Population Day, Hajiya Amina Katagum, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, praised the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for its role in providing opportunities for reflection on population dynamics and sustainable national development.

She emphasized that the future of the nation relies heavily on the opportunities created for today's youth. Katagum challenged stakeholders to translate commitments into actionable plans that improve the lives of millions of young Nigerians.

She highlighted the necessity of quality education, access to healthcare, and decent job opportunities for youth empowerment. Katagum also pointed out that reliable population data is crucial for effective governance, infrastructure development, and resource allocation.
