Bauchi State Launches Starter Pack Initiative for Youth

The Bauchi State Government has inaugurated a seven-member committee to oversee the distribution of starter packs to 1,250 youth and women trained in integrated agricultural value chain agribusiness programs. Governor Bala Mohammed emphasized the state's commitment to empowering youth and women in agriculture to promote food security and economic development.

The starter pack grants aim to support beneficiaries in applying skills acquired during training to establish viable ventures, ensuring self-reliance and job creation within communities. The committee, chaired by Ibrahim Yusha, includes representatives from various agricultural sectors and will ensure transparency and accountability in the disbursement process.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to invest in human capital and rural development across 20 local government areas in Bauchi State. The committee is tasked with verifying beneficiaries and ensuring that payments are made according to approved guidelines, with a comprehensive report to be submitted at the end of the exercise.
