Baze University Launches Chancellor’s Excellence Awards

Baze University has launched the Chancellor’s Annual Excellence Awards, approved by the Board of Trustees during a meeting chaired by Senator Datti Baba Ahmed, the Founder and Chancellor. This initiative aims to recognize outstanding contributions to teaching, research, scholarship, and postgraduate supervision.

The awards will feature two main honors: the Chancellor’s Prize for the Best PhD Supervisor of the Year and the Chancellor’s Prize for the Best Published Academic Staff Member of the Year. These awards will be presented annually during the University’s Convocation Ceremony or at other occasions approved by the Chancellor.

The awards are designed to nurture a culture of excellence, encourage innovation, and enhance the university's reputation. The Chancellor’s Prize for the Best PhD Supervisor will honor those who excel in postgraduate mentorship, while the Best Published Academic Staff Member award will recognize high-quality research output.

The initiative is expected to stimulate positive outcomes across the university, promoting greater research productivity.
