Enugu First Lady Urges Intentional Parenting at Summit

Mrs. Nkechinyer Mbah, the First Lady of Enugu State, addressed parents at a summit, advocating for intentional parenting to shape the moral and spiritual growth of children. She highlighted the need for parents to provide essential needs such as food, shelter, and clothing while also nurturing their children's emotional and social development.

Mrs. Mbah pointed out that today's children face distractions from social media and negative peer pressure, which can lead to violence and emotional instability. She stressed that a strong family unit contributes to a healthier society, urging parents to invest in their homes as a foundation for the future.

Dr. Chisom Ugwu, who also spoke at the summit, echoed the sentiment that moral decay in society is linked to poor parenting. He advised parents to train their children to reflect societal values, emphasizing that issues in society often stem from the home environment.
