Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Denies Terrorism Sponsorship Claims

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central in the National Assembly and a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), addressed accusations made by former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello. Bello alleged that Akpoti-Uduaghan sponsored terrorism to block her political ambitions.

During a live session on her Facebook page, she provided a timeline of events, stating that she was in the United States during the violent incidents in Nigeria in June and July 2022, including the Owo massacre and the Kuje prison break. Akpoti-Uduaghan explained that she had just given birth and was hospitalized due to high-risk pregnancy complications, making it impossible for her to be involved in any violent activities.

She characterized Bello's claims as politically motivated and false, asserting that they were a tactic to undermine her electoral race. Akpoti-Uduaghan reiterated her earlier criticisms of Bello, accusing him of having close ties with security authorities during his tenure.
