Dr. Emmanuel Onwodi Named COO of Benin-Asaba Expressway

The Benin-Asaba Expressway Concession Company Limited (BAECC) has appointed Dr. Emmanuel Onwodi as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Onwodi, a specialist in Public-Private Partnerships and infrastructure, has over 25 years of experience in infrastructure development, concession management, project finance, risk management, transport, and logistics.

His responsibilities will include driving operational execution, strengthening project delivery, coordinating stakeholders, and promoting operational efficiency for the Benin-Asaba highway corridor. Onwodi holds a Ph.D. in Risk Management in Public-Private Partnerships, an M.Sc. in Risk Management from Birmingham City University, and a B.A. in International Accounting from the University of Northampton.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, among other qualifications. His appointment aims to enhance cooperation among government institutions, investors, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
